This river, Sg.Sayong, needs to be cleared of all the clogged branches immediately to prevent flood. It would be most appropriate to construct a new bridge without the culverts which have the bane of the residents in Renggam.
Theses culverts are the cause of flash floods during heavy rain. The disposal of branches upstream makes it worse.
The river had since narrowed since the last widening works and it's due to
be cleared of growth which contributed to the narrowing of the river.
This a plea to Member of Parliamane for Simpang Renggam, YB Liang Teck Meng & Adun Layang-Layang, Tn.
