I was invited for the official opening of Bangunan Sultan Iskandar by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan of Johore.
This will be the new mordern Customs complex to replace the one at the causeway. The complex encumbers the existing Railway Station and would enhance travel to & from Singapore. The complex is more than 270,000 m2. A huge complex with better facilities to cater for locals & tourists alike.
It would be link eventually link through the Eastern Dispersal Link and enhance traffic flow in Johore.
Something interesting happen during the ceremony. Our PM, Pak Lah, made a blunder when he mentioned during his speech that the name of the new building as Gerbang Sultan Iskandar. However, when our beloved Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan of Johore officiate the building, it was named as Bangunan Sultan Iskandar.
So Bangunan Sultan Iskandar it is.
