The Wonderful Elder & Sister Haslam

It was a most fitting farewell dinner and a rather sweet surprise for Elder & Sister Haslam who had completed their mission and will be heading back home to Utah in a few days time.

Everybody gather at their house without their knowledge to gave them a surprise and yes indeed, were they surprised when everyone turns up together and whip up a storm.

The penultimate surprise was when the video was played and both of them were moved to tears. Jessie did a really wonderful job on the video which had everyone expressing their most heartfelt feelings & gratitude to the Haslam’s love, kindness and guidance.

It was a most enjoyable and heartwarming evening together and the love and care for each other filled the air.

We are most honored to be able to drive the Haslams off to Singapore the next day where they will transit for a few days before their trip back to Utah.

We were treated to the most sumptuous prawn meals at a cozy restaurant at Pasir Panjang in Singapore. It was a heart wrenching parting especially for my lovely wife since she’s like a daughter to them. In fact, that’s how she addresses them, Papa & Mama.

I am most grateful to them for their love and care when we are together. They have showered my wife with immeasurable love and care. I know that the next few days and months will be difficult for everyone one of us who misses them so much.


They have travelled so far and have touched the life of everyone with their sincere and unselfish love and care from their heart. They are presented with a plague from the church to signify their successful mission.

We wish and pray for their continual good heath and happiness and that they are always on our mind.

We love & will miss you both very much, Papa & Mama.
