Reunion Gathering 2007 & Public Caning .. !!

Have one of the greatest time of my life during our reunion gathering on Saturday. The never ending feelings of nostalgia flows through my veins. There are lots of friends that you just couldn't recall their names and some of them has `transform' due to various commitments .. but then there are some who had already left us!!

You can sense and feel the life cycle and nature evolving around us during reunions. Everyone is talking about the good `old' times which reveals some astonishing stories which had been hidden .. like forever.

Public caning is one of the subjects ... SURPRISE!! There's quite a few of us who potrays the `Boy Next Door' image who were caned before and one of them is .. yours truly!! It's more of like being innocently framed .. ain't ALL of us!! Ha!Ha!

The story goes like this .. I WAS accused of going to a amusement centre (Hey! IT'S a big deal during MY time ... ~Urgh!! Choking with emotions~ and so the story continues ..

I used to like to dressed in pure & simple singlet & shorts .. (Note the word USED to) and it's rather popular amongst kids to dress that way. My Headmaster's quarter is situated on the hill top (Alright! .. a little slope ... laaa) and usually walks down the road which overlooks the `Amusement Center' & saw a boy (back-view who happens to looks & dress like me)together with 2 of my most bosom buddies whom I always hangs out together.

Come next morning & during the Assembly .. (I remember feeling the sudden chills up my spine & premonition that something bad is going to happen. After the usual announcement & singing of the national anthem .. The Headmaster was holding a cane .. & started his announcement:

`Last night, I saw some boys at the amusement centre, you know WHO you are &

you better comes out before I announce your names. My 2 buddies hesitated but walked out with their heads low after a few minutes .. Now I am worried & shivering as I WAS indeed there

earlier but went for a show with my Dad after that.

The Headmaster was unhappy & announce one more time ... there's another boy & YOU know who you are, you better come out NOW or you will be given an additional 3 strokes of rotan. By this time, I am already feeling cold & scared .. look around me, hoping for a miracle .. Hmmm!! Nope! No miracle at all!! I took my first step towards the front of the assembly & was given 3 strokes of rotan & a lifetime of agony!!

Besides, sharing memories of the good old times, we enjoyed a slide show of old class group photographs. It's a joy to try hard to recall & identify who's who & all!! Of course, there's lots of good food & free flowing drinks. I notice that there are very few who consumes liquer amongst our group. That's really great as everybody is health conscious!!

Some ex-teachers are supposed to have join us but couldn't make it. It would have been much more fun ... & we can cane them back !! Ha x Ha

Thanks to our most gracious host, Carol, who even gave everyone a little piggy as door gift to coincide with the Year of the Boar!! Carol's home ( I called it Carol's Castle) is so beautifully decorated and comfortable. I shall share some pics of her beautiful castle in my next post.
